Supporting community organizations
allow our communities to bloom. In order to turn lives around, give
hope, and to reestablish the bonds needed to sustain our children
we have to build up our community. A few ways to contribute are
to:
- Volunteer
- Donate
- Participate
Here are a few of the organizations that I volunteer with:
BAEO Austin (Black Alliance for Educational Options) has
members and local chapters nationwide working to increase quality
educational
options and to empower families to meet their children's needs.
BAEO
Austin Sisterfriends is to promote sisterhood by addressing
the issues concerning women of color, children and families as we
develop personal and professional relationships with others who
share common goals and interests. Austin

United Way Capital Area's Tech Tots Early Childhood Initiative
takes steps to bridge the digital divide by providing technological
solutions to low-income families with preschool-age children. Capital

Other options are to contact your church, there may be programs
within your church that need some support or they may be able to
give you some information to other organizations.
At the end of the day we are responsible for the condition that
our communities are in. We are only as strong as the weakest link.
Don't be the weak link.
